As scads of viewers do, I always look forward to each new video you post. It’s amazing what you can do with food!
I am an avid fan of Lucille Ball, so I was wondering (and hoping) if you’d consider making a Lucy-themed cake. Sort of as a ‘tribute’ to her tremendous talent and to the laughter she brought to thousands of people.
I’d greatly appreciate it!
hello just wondering what your buttercream frosting recipe is?
Here it is http://cookiescupcakesandcardio.com/?p=2696
Hey, Jenn! Do you have any tutorials for cupcakes or cakes for the new Star Wars: Rogue One movie? I’d love to make something for the opening night!
Just discovered your video on how to create a Frozen Buttercream Transfer of Pikachu. It’s great and just the inspiration I need for my son’s birthday cake. How much butter cream do I need to make for a Pikachu the same size as the one in the video? Many thanks, Justine
I love, love, love everything you do. I have tried several and my family just loves them. Raves to you and I hope you keep it up. I am hoping you have the written recipe for Huckleberry/Blueberry Cheesecake. I’m having trouble streaming video so I can’t watch and write it down. I make and give cheese cakes for Christmas and thought this one would be a hit this Christmas since we have lots of huckleberries in Wyoming. Thanks and keep on making fun goodies.
http://cookiescupcakesandcardio.com/?p=8644 Here’s the blog post for it! Enjoy!
Love your cakes and fantastic tutorials, made a few in (currently v rainy) London.
I’m due to make the rubix cube cake soon, and gave just tried my silicone mould… How do we get them to not stick?! I made an awful mess! Could you give some advice? I’m sure I’m not the only one!
Thanks and keep up the good baking!!
Sorry to hear you’re having troubles…I find that this pan needed a lot of non stick spray. Not sure why, but it worked fine for me after that. You can also dust it with flour after you spray for extra release.
I love your videos I wish I can bake like you how can you bake so good
Hi jenn I love your videos how can you bake so good
It just takes practice and perseverance.
Hi Jenn – I am preparing to make the leopard print cake and I want to make sure I am following the directions and understand them. Your cake recipe says it makes 4 cups. and the cake itself takes 6 cups. I am going to do 8 inch round cake pans. Would I need to triple said recipe to make 2 cakes? Thank you in advance!
6 cups of cake batter is going to give you 3 8″ cake layers. If you are looking for 2 cakes, you will need 12 cups of batter…so you would need to triple my vanilla cake recipe.
Hey Jenn, I’m a huge fan of your youtube channel and my siblings and I loved your video of the giant Ferrero Rocher. my mom’s birthday is coming up and she loves Ferrero Rocher. I’m in Vancouver and was wondering where you got all your supplies and ingredients from.
Hi! So nice to hear from a fellow BC’er! I got my supplies at Save On and Superstore…hopefully you can find them there too. Thanks for watching and commenting!
My moms birthday is coming up and I don’t know what kind of cake to make her. I was thinking maybe a vanilla cake but I’m not sure. She loves butterflies and fairies. Do you have any Ideas on what I could do??? I love your YouTube videos!
That’s really up to you to decide as you know her best. If you’re looking for ideas, google or pinterest is a great starting place. We have some butterfly ideas, and Mom type cakes here on the blog so I hope you find something you like.
Where did you get your cow cream holder thingy? I love it so much and I would wish to get one of my own…
I got it at the Superstore.
Would you please tell me if we could use Peppermint extract from McCormick as a substitute for your peppermint Mocha cupcakes. I can’t seem to find clubhouse peppermint and mint extract here in Idaho. Please help! You have a special talent and we love your ideas and baking….
I meant should we use Mint or Peppermint Extract for the Mocha cupcakes?
Yes, you can..either type should be just fine
You can use whichever brand you find will work just fine
Thank you so much! Can’t wait to try them!
I love your cakes and recipes!! In fact I am about to bake the Oreo cake. Unfortunately i don’t have vanilla extract.. is vanilla essence a good enough substitute? I look forward to your reply
You’ll have to google it to see if it’s a substitute. Off the top of my head I think it is, but I’ve never used it before.
Hi jenn. I love every one of your recipes and I was wondering if you could make rainbow popsicles!!!
I’ve made them and they’re up on W View right now, but will be up on our channel this fall.

I was wondering if you have an Iron Man Cake. My Son will be 21 in September and he totally loves Iron Man and I would love to make one.
But of course I would have to watch your video of how to do it. I am sure it will be a challenge. Thanks so much for sharing your videos.
Hi! I’ve got Iron Man cake pops up already, but I’ll add the cake to my list.

Hi! Thanks so much for watching!
Hi Jenn what is the difference between a 1M tip and the 2D tip
One is “open”, one is “closed”.
My name is Beverly and I’m 14 I had a question on your rocky candy I want to known if I’m allowed to put the cups of rock candies that are still forming in the fridge as they form.
No, leave them on the counter or a shelf. Putting them in the fridge will slow it down.
My name is Leah and I am 4 1/2 years old (my Daddy is typing for me). I really like your channel and I pretty much watch it every day. I don’t bake yet, but I want to learn, and I have seen almost all of your videos. My favourite one is the Minecraft cake even though I would really like an Ariel cake for my birthday. I have told all my teachers at preschool about you, and have made them watch the videos. They like the Nutella ones. Please make more new videos. Thank-You, your biggest fan Leah.
Hi Leah and Leah’s Dad! Thanks so much for writing to me. I’m so lucky that you watch my videos. I teach kindergarten and make videos, so I love kids like you! Thanks for watching!! Jenn

Hi jenn! In giant ferero rocher the hazelnut butter is it optional or there’s subtitute ?????
You just need something that will bind the nuts together (stick).
Is honey fine??
Hi I am 11 I watch you all the time and me and my brother love to make the stuff you do!
Thanks so much for watching!
Hi Jenn! Is there any subtitute melting wafers??
Please answer back
You could use regular chocolate if you can’t find wafers.
Hiya Jenn I really like your videos and I love baking but I am a boy and I don’t get much encouragement. I have been enjoying all your videos and I wanted to make you happy today by saying that your creations are amazing and you are really doing a great job!
Thanks so much for watching! Continue loving baking…I’m sure everyone will come around!

Hi jenn I was watching your red velvet cake recipe as I am going to make it very soon and was wondering if cake flour is the same as all purpose flour? If not what can I substitute it for because I cannot find it where I live.
I really love your videos and your amazing creations!
You can use all purpose flour if you want to. Cake flour is just a little bit lighter. Good luck!
Thank you so much! The cake turned out perfect and the family loved it
I LOVE watching your videos! I am in a sugar cookie frenzy right now and made almost 300 of them. I used your sugar cookie recipe and they look (and taste) delicious! They rolled out wonderfully and they kept their shape completely in the oven. I also followed your “Golden edges” comment for when they are done. Now I just have to decorate with royal icing. How do you store your cookies while the icing is drying but the cookies don’t get hard? I am still trying to figure that out.
They’re my favourite cookie!! I’m so glad you like them too. I usually ice them while they are on cooling racks so that I can move them around the kitchen.
hi there! I love your videos!
I had a question about your buttercream? can I freeze the whole cake after i frost it with it??
and if yes, how long can it be frozen for and how long does it take to defrost?
Yes you can freeze it. It depends on how warm the room is, but it usually takes 2-3 hours for a full defrost.
Can you please make a cake that has mustache inside and outside with different color please i really really need it my friends is obses with it and i want to make her a cake

I use Americolor Gel Paste. Their colours are super bright!

I use white colouring.

My 5 year old daughter absolutely loves watching your videos. She has a bit if a instructional baking video obsession right now, and specifically asks for “Jen’s videos”.
Today we made your vanilla cake and vanilla buttercream as she acted out her own video.
Thank-you so much for sharing your recipes and ideas!

Thanks for watching! Have fun!
First of all: Thank you for inspiring us with your videos!
I still want to make so many of your recipes
I have entered the contest, but when I just checked that blog post, I saw that quite a few people ‘copy’ their comment and put it in the commentsection again (so they have 3 or 4 times the same comment) (I hope you know what I mean, because I’m not a native English speaker :s)
Are you also going to count the ‘copied’ comments with the random chosing?
I know there are also people who want to win real bad, but I don’t think copying comments is a fair thing to do because other people have less chance to win because they only put one comment.
I hope you understand what I mean, but I just wanted to bring this to you so all people will have the same chance to win…
Lots of love from Holland
Jen you inspired me too try my best in baking, some of the people that I know say to me that I won’t be a bake that it is just a dumb stupid Idea of me, but because of you I know that I could do it you truly inspired me and I thank you for that I hope that I win so I can tell people I told you that I can do so I really really THANK YOU JENN !!!!
Thank YOU so much for allowing me to have this amazing job!! Thanks for watching.
Hey Jen! I’m 14 years old and I ABSOLUTLY LOVE YOUR TUTORIALS AND YOU! Thanks for all the inspiration & when do we all get to find out who won the give away?(:
OMG hi I love you! Can you please email me [email protected]
I am baking a cake and cupcakes Saturday based on frozen I would love if somehow you can see it . I would love to send you a picture
Hi Jenn, for the contest it says to contact you within 24 hrs. of you getting the email that you’ve won how would we give you our address like would we email you it or what? I’m just curious in case I do actually win. Thank you so much.
I love watching your videos Jen! I am only 13 and I am making all you big creative cakes already……….I am a hockey player and I have gotten so many Ideas to make a hockey cake for my team and your designs really give me something to think about. You are the best Jen!
I am looking into getting a kitchenaid stand mixer. Saw the video on you tube but I’m still so lost. Too many options:) I will primarily be doing cakes and icing especially fondant (hopefully some light pastries and pizza dough every once in a while.) I also will be using it a couple times a week. So many people say they have burnt their KA up making fondant or dough. Which mixer will work best for my needs? Or do I really just need to do fondant and doughs by hand? Thank you so much in advance!
If you’re going to be using it for fondant and dough, I would buy the Pro Series. It’s a little bit tougher than the other ones. When I’m making fondant or doing double batches of cakes, I reach for the Pro. I hope that helps!
Hi Jenn I am nine almost ten and would love to be in a tutorial. I love to bake and really like your tutorials! We’ll tell me if I can be in one or not, and it’s fine if I can’t it would just be a great learning opertoonity for me!
Hi there! Thanks for the request…hopefully we’ll be able to meet one day!
I am just putting in a little request… Can you please do some tutorials on cake pops!!! I am starting to try a few things with them but having a little trouble with my chocolate consistency and wondering if you might have a few tricks up your sleeve. I have looked for a video on this from you on YouTube and wasn’t successful so I thought I would ask. Thanks!
I’ve got some cake pop tutorials already up…I hope you like them.
Hey Jen, summer here. I’m from london and I watch your videos all the time! Me and my sister in law are in our early 20s and are obsessed with baking ^_^ we get so much inspiration from you and I was wondering if you would like to see some of our cakes that we made based off of things you taught us Also my partners Grandmothers birthday is coming up and I wanted to make her a cake shaped like a present. :/ any tips on how to get the perfect square edges? Thanks for reading this (if you did) and can’t wait for a reply. Summer
Yes, I love to see them! You can send them to me on our Facebook page, or you can email them to me. I’ve got a present cake video up already (it uses Christmas colours, but you could do it any colour). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fkt2uLReMaI Thanks for watching!
Hi! I’m a big fan of your youtube videos, and have tseen a lot of them. I have a question about your silicone spatulas (I know, weird right?) Where did you get them, and how much were they? Also, are the still on sale? I can only find the ones I like at christmas time… Thanks!
Hi there…I actually get questions about my spatula’s all the time! I pick them up whenever I see a cool one…wherever I am. I don’t have a specific place that I find them….but Target is always good for new ones! Good luck!
Hi, I just recently started watching your tutorials as I needed to
make sugar cookies for my sons 1st birthday. I watched your
royal icing tutorial & loved the blue containers you used & wanted
to know where you bought them. Thanks!
They are just bowls I got from the Superstore.
